After installing the Logos application, sign-in with your Logos account. Logos then downloads your library content, followed by indexing; which can take several hours.
*Tip:* Wait for indexing to finish before using Logos, as Searching will not function and other features will be sluggish.
Note that updates to the software and updated/new resources will be automatically downloaded by default, but you can change your program setting for *Automatically Download Updates* to *No*. You cannot know what is being downloaded, but you will get used to the size of a software update, so anything smaller will be a resource update(s).
After installing Logos application, sign-in with your Logos account. Logos then downloads your library content, followed by indexing (computer tends to get Hot while processors and disk busy indexing for several hours).
Software updates are announced in the appropriate forum e.g. a thread titled "8.0 SR-1 (8.0.0.0583) is Now Available", and you will know what has been changed. Whilst this does not apply to resource updates, you can find which resources have been updated in Library. Right click on a Library column header e.g. Title, then click "Last Updated" to add that column to the Library display, followed by dragging the column header to the desired place. *Tip:* Recommend waiting for indexing to finish before using Logos (can read resources, but scrolling will be sluggish).
*Tip:* After Logos.com order(s), changing your Logos program setting for *Automatically Download Updates* to *Yes* initiates process to download, install, and index new purchase(s).
In *versions prior to Logos 8*, the Home Page will have header items titled *Installed 7.xx* and *Resources Updated*, which you can check after the updates have downloaded. If you don't see them, make sure they are checked in the Customize menu and/or refresh the Home Page (press *F5* in Windows, or *(fn)-F5* in Mac).
