*There are several methods that you can use to open the Library window.

!!!! Opening as a Drop Down from the menu bar

* *Opening as a Drop Down* \\ Click on the Library icon in the main toolbar. A large drop down showing your Library will appear. \\ This allows you to use the Library without opening a window. \\ When you have finished, just click outside the Library drop down and it will close.

#. Click on the Library icon in the top menu. A large drop down showing your library will appear. This allows you to use the library without opening a window. * *Opening using Drag & Drop* \\ In the main toolbar, click on the Library icon and drag it to the new location, which can be a new tile or a new panel (tab).  \\

#. You can use this method to open Library in a tile or a new panel (tab) \\ \\  [[{{$ http://wiki.logos.com/media/Library4f.png?maxwidth=600 }} >> http://wiki.logos.com/media/Library4f.png]] \\ \\

#. In the top menu, click on the Library icon (don't release the mouse button)

 #. Drag the library icon to the new location (an orange vertical bar will indicate this) drop it i.e. release the mouse button. \\ \\ [[{{$ http://wiki.logos.com/media/Library4g.png?maxwidth=600 }} >> http://wiki.logos.com/media/Library4g.png]] \\ \\

 #. Now you will see the Library panel where you dropped it. \\ \\

* *Opening using the _right click_ method* \\ In the main toolbar, _right click_ on the Library icon.

 * *Open* will open the Library in a *new Tab* (below).

#. In the top menu, _right click_ on the Library icon.

 * *Open in a new tab* will open the Library window as a new Tab. Logos will place the tab where it thinks best. After opening you might want to move the tab to a better location using /Drag and Drop/.

#. A drop down menu will appear.

 * *Open in a floating window* will open the Library window in a floating window. This can also be accomplished by the keyboard shortcut *Ctrl+L*.

 #. *Open* will open the Library in a *new Tab* (below).

 #. *Open in a new tab* will open the Library window as a new Tab. Logos will place the tab where it thinks best. After opening you might want to move the tab to a better location using [[/Drag & Drop/ >> # Opening using Drag & Drop]])

#. *Information*: this opens a pane on the right side of your library window. Click again to hide the information pane. \\ {{$ media:LibraryInfoPane.jpg?maxwidth=350 }} \\ \\ You can view or change [[Ratings >> Ratings # How do I change the Ratings?]] and [[User Tags >> Tagging # How do I Tag a book?]] inyourLibrary. \\ \\

#. *Information*: this opens a pane on the right side of your library window. #. *Sidebar* (Logos 8+): Use this to open/close a sidebar with faceted browsing of Library metadata. \\ \\

#. *Prioritize* (Logos 7): this opens/closes a pane on the right side of your library window.
