Quick Installation onto multiple computers

This method is intended for use with an *offline* computer, \\ but initial *sign-in* may have to be performed online.
Please read [[Before you Start >> # Before you Start]] carefully.
 
*Note:* With v8.4+, the /initial/ installation must be performed online e.g. [[Method 3 >> # Method 3]], but you can /update/ from a previous version with the appropriate *.msi file. \\ Thereafter, you can re-install with a backup of *this* installation.  {{$ media:TOCnew.png}}

*Note:* Your _Logos_ folder name could be \Logos, \Logos4 or \Logos5, depending on when/how you upgraded.
 
#. Backup the ...\Logos folder from a *working* installation to an external drive
#. Backup the ...\Logos folder from a working installation to an external drive
* the files in ...\Logos\Install\Installers are needed for installation at Steps 3 & 4.
* if you have a custom installation backup these files from the _default_ installation path above.
#. Run Logos-x64.msi or Logos.msi from the desired user account
* select *Custom* installation and *uncheck* "Automatically Download Updates"
* change the installation folder (eg.to E:\, C:\Users\{{_/username/_}})orleaveasdefault
* change the installation folderifnecessarye.g. E:\, C:\Users\{{_/username/_}}
* click "Finish" to exit the installation
* create a shortcut from ...\Logos\Logos.exe & move it to your Desktop
This method saves resource downloading and indexing but gets installation files from Logos servers.
Please read [[Before you Start >> # Before you Start]] carefully.
 
*Note:* With v8.4+, this procedure will only work for a /re-installation/ i.e. you cannot transfer your current installation to another computer. {{$ media:TOCnew.png}}
 
*Note:* Your _Logos_ folder name could be \Logos, \Logos4 or \Logos5, depending on when/how you upgraded.
 
#. Backup the ...\Logos folder from a *working* installation to an external drive
#. Backup the ...\Logos folder from a working installation to an external drive
#. Install Logos/Verbum from the appropriate _Setup_ link above.
* /if you want to install a beta version use the link from the Beta forum/
* select *Custom* installation and *uncheck* "Automatically Download Updates"
* change the installation folder (eg. E:\, C:\Users\{{_/username/_}})orleaveasdefault
* change the installation folderifnecessarye.g. E:\, C:\Users\{{_/username/_}}
* immediately exit the Sign-in window after the installation has finished
  * with v8.4+, you have to kill Logos in Task Manager. {{$ media:TOCnew.png}}
This method involves Indexing whilst avoiding the resource download.

*Note:* With v8.4+, you must first perform a /minimal/ installation, and begin at Step 3 (*scan*) after starting Logos. {{$ media:TOCnew.png}}
 
*Note:* Your _Logos_ folder name could be \Logos, \Logos4 or \Logos5, depending on when/how you upgraded.
 
#. Backup the ...\Logos\Data\{{_/randomId/_}}\ResourceManager\Resources folder from a *working* installation to an external drive

#. Install Logos/Verbum from the appropriate _Setup_ link above.

#. Sign-in to Logos after the installation has finished
* enter *scan <path to your resources>* in the /Logos/ Command box e.g. scan e:\resources
* *With v8.4+*, you must first download a /minimal/ set of resources. {{$ media:TOCnew.png}}
* enter *scan <path to your resources>* in the /Logos/ Command box e.g. scan D:\Resources
* /Indexing should start and can take a considerable time to complete/
* /Also, allow some time for your documents to sync/
