!! What do you mean by finding a *Heading*?
* Can't remember the book or passage reference to what you are looking for?
*InaBibleorCommentary,youcan't remember the/bible/ book or thepassage reference to what you are looking for?
* You can use *Search* to search for that word. But you might have to sort through many scripture hits.
* In other resources, you are looking for an article...
* But you thinkyou remember a word thatmightbein one of the *Headings*... (e.g. see image below) \\ \\ {{$ media:FindingHeading1a.png }} \\ \\
* But you can remember a word in one of the *Headings* (orbible/Pericopes/)... see image below: \\ \\ {{$ media:FindingHeading1a.png }} \\ \\
* Did you know that you can search just through the headings/pericopes in most Bibles?
* For Bibles in *Logos 8+*, you can actually type the *word* in the /Reference box/ and it will list the relevant pericopes!
* Well this is possible. And often returns fewer hits and can help you find your passage faster.
* *Fuzzy Bible Search* may help you find the *words* in a phrase, but it can return a lot of /erroneous/ hits.
* Keep reading...
* Otherwise, you can /Search/ just the *Headings*/pericopes in most resources, and it will return more relevant hits.
!! How to Search Headings
* Say that we want to find the scriptureheadingsfor*Jesus tells the hour and day are unknown*intheNIVBible.
* Say that we want to find the scriptureswhere Jesus states"the hour and day are unknown"(orsimilar)
* Open a *Search* window \\ Then ....
#. Click on *Basic* for the search type.
#. Select the Bible from the resource list.
#. Select a Bible from the resource list.
#. Click on the search area parameter (this may show as /All Text/)
#. In the drop down menu click on the arrow to the left of *Search Fields* to expand it.
#. Click on *Large Text* (/not shown below/) andalsoclickon*Heading Text*(ifyoudon'tseethisfield, see [[Why don't I see Headings >> # Why don't I see Headings in the Search Field?]]{{~)}}. \\ \\ {{$ media:FindingHeading1b.png }} \\ \\
#. Clickon*HeadingText*,andalsoclickon *Large Text* (/not shown below/).\\If/Heading Text/isnotpresent, see [[Why don't I see Headings >> # Why don't I see Headings in the Search Field?]]. \\ \\ {{$ media:FindingHeading1b.png }} \\ \\
#. Nowsayweremembertheword*hour* might be intheheading. \\ So enter the word *hour* in the _Find box_ and press /Enter/.
#. Thewords*hour*and *day* would be significant,butyouneedtochooseoneofthem. \\ So enter the word *hour* in the _Find box_ and press /Enter/.
#. When Logos finishes the search, we see that there are two headings found in the NIV Bible. \\ \\ {{$ media:FindingHeading1c.png }} \\ \\

* Obviously you can choose a different Bible version. Give it a try!
* Do you have a collection of Bibles? If so, try changing the resource from a Bible to your collection of Bibles.
* If you prefer a specific bible or resource, try *Inline Search* from its /Toolbar/. \\ The results can be presented in a number of contexts; usually *Sentence*, but *Aricle* is more revealing.

* Make sure that you have *Match all word forms* enabled in the Search window \\ *a)* Click on the /Search/ window's icon. \\ *b)* Click to check *Match all word forms*. \\ \\ {{$ media:FindingHeading1f.png }} \\ \\ *c)* Then run your search again.

!!! Why don't I see Headings in the Search Field?
* Make sure that you are using the *Basic* search method!
* Not allBible resources have *Heading* as a valid search field.
* Not all resources have *HeadingText* as a valid search field.
