!! What is a Reading Plan?
 A /Reading Plan/ is a tool of Logos which allows you to setup the reading of a Bible or book in a specified time period and aids you in tracking your progress. You can setup as many reading plans as you like. This wiki page will provide the basic information in setting up a reading plan and using the reading plan. For specific custom reading plans see this wiki page: [[Reading Plans]].

 In a /Reading Plan/ you cansetitto read a whole book or a part of a book. Whensetting a readingplanforaBible, you can select justaportionof theBibleordifferentbooks to read ineach day.Forinstance you can set a plan to read through the New Testament inagiventimeframe.Or you could set a plan to read through Psalms and the New Testamentdailyinagiventimeframe. Youalsomightwanttoreadoneofyourotherbooks(e.g.PilgrimsProgress).You can setupmultiplebookstoread.Logosalsoallowsyoutosetwhich days of the week ineachreadingplan. Thiswouldallowyou to read through the Bible daily and set another plan to read another book alsoon Monday, Wednesday, & Friday.
 In a /Reading Plan/ you can read a whole book or a part of a book. For a Bible, you can select any of its books/chapters to read each daye.g. you can set a plan to read through the New Testament,or you could set a plan to read through Psalms and the New Testament. \\ You can choose which days of the week toreadthebooke.g. you could read through the Bible daily and have another Plan to read another book on Monday, Wednesday, & Friday.
Logosgivesyou a great deal of flexibility in setting up your reading plan(s).Butyou still might find some limitations. Logos will try to divide your reading equally across the time frame that you specify.Thisdoes not alwayslineupwiththe way that you wanted to read your book.

#. Open the main *Documents* menu.
#. Click on the *New* button

 *Warning:* editing a Reading Plan you have already commenced will start the Reading Plan over. So all the places that you have marked as read will be cleared.

#. In the top menu click on *Documents*.
#. Locate your Reading Plan and click on it.
 * the Reading Plan is opened in a floating window.
#. Click the *Edit* button to start.

   "Plans collaborated with a group will no longer be editable except for Bible version used." (Logos Help)
  If you have shared a reading plan with a FaithLife group, you will no longer be able to edit that plan. However, you can start a new Reading Plan document, and, from the _Add_ menu choose "Add readings from ... Another Reading Plan." You will be able to import the readings from the shared plan and continue editing. The new document will need to be reshared with the group once you have corrected/completed it.

!! I cannot set page numbers for my book in the Reading Plan
 Some books are indexed by Bible (or another datatype) and/or Page number. Others may be indexed by Volume+Page number. And some may not be Indexed at all. \\ If a non-Biblebook is *not* indexedforpagenumbers, then the Reading Plan will assumethatyouwant to read the whole book. To determine if your book is indexed for page numbers follow the steps below. \\ \\
 Some books are indexed by Bible (or another datatype) and/or Page number. Others may be indexed by Volume/Page number. And some may not be indexed at all. \\ If a book is *not* indexed, then the Reading Plan will force you to read the whole book. #. Open the book that you want to check for /page number indexing/.

#. A clue that it is not indexed is the missing reference box i.e. the box where you would normally see page numbers or references.

 * On the left side scroll down until you see *Indexes*. If *Page* is not present, then your book is not indexed for page numbers.

 In this example we are going to create a Reading Plan for the New American Standard (1995 version) to be read through in 1 year. We will be reading it on weekdays (Monday through Friday).
