Navigating a Resource (controls in the Locator bar)

!! What is the Locator bar?

* The Locator bar is available on each of your resources.

* _The Locator bar contains the following tools_

;b) Contents location :shows you where you are relative to the table of contents.

!!! I don't see the Locator bar

* To open it follow these steps:

#. Clickon the /Panel Menu/icon.

#. Open the /Panel menu/.

#. Intheresourcewindowmenu,clickon the *Show locator bar*. \\ \\ {{$ media:NavLocator2a.jpg }} \\ \\

#. Click on the *Show locator bar*. \\ \\ {{$ media:NavLocator2a.jpg?maxheight=375 }} \\ \\ /or/\\

* Ormake sure that the resource is active(byclickingintheviewingareaoftheresource), then press *Ctrl+Shift+L*keycombination.

* Make sure that the resource is active, then press *Ctrl+Shift+L*.

!!! Search Navigation choice

* If you are using the /Search/ tool, the search results canbeusedbythenavigationarrowsinyourbook(s)whenchanging the navigationselection to /Search Result/.

* If you are using the /Search/ tool, the search results inyourbookcanbenavigatedafter changing the /Navigationchoice/ to *Search Result*.

* In the example below the NIV bible has search results for the phrase "Kingdom of Heaven". It now has a new item (Search Result) in the navigation list. \\ \\ {{$ media:NavLocator4b.jpg }} \\ \\

* If you select *Search Result*,then press the /down/ navigation arrow, it will move the location in your NIV resource to the first/next search result. \\ \\ {{$ media:NavLocator4c.jpg }} \\ \\ \\

* After you select *Search Result*, press the /down/ navigation arrowand it will move the location in your NIV resource to the first/next search result. \\ \\ {{$ media:NavLocator4c.jpg }} \\ \\ \\

* Note that you could use this navigation method in any other resources which appeared in the search results.

!!! Annotation Navigation choice

* If you have Notes or Highlightedtext in your resource, then the navigationitem (*Annotation*) can appear in the navigation list.

* If you have Notes or Highlights in your resource, then the item *Annotation* can appear in the navigation list.

  * /in Logos 8, faceted browsing is available in the Sidebar/

* *Annotation* will appear only when you have selected items under *Notes and Highlights* in the /Visual filters/ menu. Then you can use the navigation arrows to move forward & backward to /annotated/ text.

* *Annotation* will appear only when you have selected Notes under *Notes and Highlighting* in your resource's /Visual filters/ menu. Then you can use the navigation arrows to move forward & backward to /annotated/ text.

* The keyboard shortcuts are:
