!! How do I add favorites to the Favorites window?
You can use the *Add* button in the Favorites window to add a link to the active tab in your layout, or you can drag a tab directly into a folder.

You can add a link to any resource/book as a /bookmark/.
 
 #. Click on, or expand, the destination folder/sub-folder.
 #. Click on the *tab* for that book (or resource).
 #. Drag the *tab* to the desired location, or click on *Add* in the Favorites window.
   * if the destination folder is empty, drag the tab /onto/ the folder.

!!! Using the keyboard to add resource links
A keyboard shortcut can be used to add an active resource to Favorites. \\ This is particularly useful if the resource is in a floating window.
 #. Open the *Favorites* tool if necessary.
 #. Select the destination folder/sub-folder.
 #. Click on the resource tab.
 #. Press *Ctrl+D*~/*Cmd+D* on the keyboard.
 #. If necessary, /drag/ the favorite to the desired location.

!!! Adding a link from your Library
You can add a link to a resource directly from your library. This is useful when you want to open a Bible and have Logos position it to the *active* reference from another Bible or Commentary. \\ *Note* that the link will not have a scripture reference.
 #. Open the *Favorites* tool if necessary.
 #. Open your Library.
 #. Locate the resource that you want to add to Favorites.
 #. Drag the resource /Title/ and drop it into the desired folder in Favorites.

 You can add a link to any resource/book as a /bookmark/.

You can add a link to your *Notes* in Favorites.

 #. Arrange the content as required.

You can add a link to a Microsoft Word document. When you click on a favorite which is a Word doc, it will open Word to that document.
You can add links to various programs in your operating system, provided you create a /shortcut/ for them. \\ Most Windows shortcuts can only be created on the /desktop/.
Similarly, you can add Excel & PowerPoint document links to Favorites.
  #. Open the *Favorites* tool (if it is not already open).
