 Also in this section we will resize our Highlighting tool panel and the panel for the book.

 * Logos opens the Highlighting panel on the left /by default/.
#. Logosopenedour Highlighting tool panel ontheleft.Toolpanelsby defaultareafixedwidthandcannotbechanged. (but you will be shown belowamethodto override this)
#. The Highlighting tool panel cannotbere-sized by draggingonthisedge (but you will be shown how to override this).
#. Noticethat when you hold your mouse over the right edge of the book panel thatthe cursor changes to a double-ended arrow.Thisistoallowyou toclickand drag the edge ofthepaneltochange its width.
#. But when you hold your mouse over the right edge of the book panel the cursorwillchange to a double-ended arrow, allowing you to drag the edge and change its width.
#. Now hold your mouse over the edge of the Highlighting tool panel. Notice that you see no double-ended arrow cursor. This is because the tool panel is a fixed width by default. \\ \\

**Overriding the Highlighter panel fixed width*
!!!! *Overriding the Highlighter panel fixed width*
#. With your mouse, click on the Highlighter tool's tab and drag it to a new location ... \\ \\ [[{{$ http://wiki.logos.com/media/ReadingBook1g2.png?maxwidth=600}} >>http://wiki.logos.com/media/ReadingBook1g2.png]]\\ \\
#. With your mouse, click on the Highlighter tool's tab and drag it to a new location ... \\ \\ {{$@img-fluidamber:11116184:45984176}} \\ \\
#. ... and drop it there. Logos now will allow the tool panel to be resized. But first we want to move the tool panel back on the left side of our layout. \\ \\ [[{{$ http://wiki.logos.com/media/ReadingBook1h.png?maxheight=300 }} >> http://wiki.logos.com/media/ReadingBook1h.png]] \\ \\
  * ... and drop it there. \\ \\ {{$@img-fluid amber:11116185:45984180?maxwidth=500}}  \\ \\
#. So grab the tab of the tool panel with your mouse and drag it to the left side of the layout .... \\ \\ [[{{$ http://wiki.logos.com/media/ReadingBook1i.png?maxheight=400 }} >> http://wiki.logos.com/media/ReadingBook1i.png]] \\ \\
#. Hold your mouse over the left edge of the tool panel and notice that it can be resized. \\ Drag the edge of the tool panel to the right to make it narrower (and enlarge the book panel).
#. ... and drop it there. Logos now shows our tool panel as before. \\ \\ [[{{$ http://wiki.logos.com/media/ReadingBook1j.png?maxwidth=600 }} >> http://wiki.logos.com/media/ReadingBook1j.png]] \\ \\
#. Hold your mouse over the right edge of the tool panel. Notice that your cursor changes to a double-ended arrow allowing us to resize the width of the panel. Drag the right edge of the tool panel to the left to make it narrower. \\ \\ [[{{$ http://wiki.logos.com/media/ReadingBook1k.png?maxwidth=600 }} >> http://wiki.logos.com/media/ReadingBook1k.png]] \\ \\
#. Now we have our Highlighter tool panel on the left of our layout and narrower so that it does not use much of our layout.
#. Now let's expand the width of our book to fill our layout. Move your mouse over the right edge of the book panel and drag it to the right to fill the layout. \\ \\ [[{{$ http://wiki.logos.com/media/ReadingBook1l.png?maxwidth=600 }} >> http://wiki.logos.com/media/ReadingBook1l.png]] \\ \\
#. Now we have our layout adjusted for our reading.
