Quick Installation onto multiple computers

!! Before you Start

Logos and Verbum releases prior to version 7.18 [[cannot login to Faithlife servers >> https://community.logos.com/forums/t/173472.aspx]] as of 7 Nov 2018. \\ Consequently, there are no procedures for versions 4/5/6.

 

With *v8.4+* /on the same machine/, a new installation will force an existing installation to keep their Libraries in sync.   {{$ media:TOCnew.png}}

!!! Logos

Logos 7 can be installed from [[Logos7Setup >> https://logos.com/downloads/263]].

Logos 8 can be installed from [[Logos8Setup >> https://logos.com/downloads/280]].

Logos 9 can be installed from [[Logos9Setup >> https://logos.com/downloads/288]].

The _default_ installation path is C:\Users\{{_/username/_}}\AppData\Local\Logos

!!! Verbum

Verbum can be installed side-by-side with Logos as it has a different executable and base folder.

Verbum 7 can be installed from [[Verbum7Setup >> https://verbum.com/downloads/265]].

Verbum 8 can be installed from [[Verbum8Setup >> https://verbum.com/downloads/282]].

Verbum 9 can be installed from [[Verbum9Setup >> https://verbum.com/downloads/290]].

With *v8.4+*, see [[Method 2 >> # Method 2]] for the possible impact of an /initial/ installation. \\ However, you can safely /upgrade/ from a previous version with the appropriate *.msi file. \\ Thereafter, you can re-install from a backup of *this* installation.

* change the installation folder if necessary e.g. E:\, C:\Users\{{_/username/_}}

* when the installation has finished, immediately exit the Sign-in window (/if it appears/)

* *with v8.4+*, you have to kill Logos in Task Manager.

* *with v8+*, you have to kill Logos in Task Manager.

* create a shortcut from ...\Logos\Logos.exe & move it to your Desktop

#. If they exist *delete* the following folders from the /new/ installation and replace them from your backup
