* _A short explanation about how highlighting works when using the *Highlighting tool*_:
* By default when you use highlighting, a note is added by Logos into that highlighting palette's default Note File.
* Default highlighting Note Files have the name of the highlighting style's Palette (e.g. Solid Colors, Emphasis Markup, etc). So each highlighting Palette has it's own Note File.

* By default the highlighting note will have it's Note Indicator set to /None/ (box with a red diagonal line).
* By default the highlighting note will have its Note Indicator set to /None/ (box with a red diagonal line).
* By default the note's /Content/ is left blank.
* When you apply compound highlights (a highlighting style applied to already highlighted text), Logos creates a new individual note for each highlighting style applied. \\ \\
* The Redirecting method here refers to changing a Highlighting palette's destination Note File to one different than it's default Note File.
* The Redirecting method here refers to changing a Highlighting palette's destination Note File to one different than its default Note File.
* Inside the Highlighting Tool, Logos provides a way to change the destination Note File for each Palette.
* After changing (Redirecting) the destination Note File for a palette:
* All previous highlighting notes are left in it's original default Note File.
* All previous highlighting notes are left in its original default Note File.
* All new highlighting notes (for styles in that palette) are placed into the redirected Note File.
* Logos will remember where you have /Redirected/ a Palette even after closing and reopening Logos.
* You can /Redirect/ Highlighting of a Palette to the _most recent note file_ (as an alternative to a 'specific Note File').
* Careful, if you have more than 1 note file open, then it is up to you to keep track of which note file that your Palette styles are being redirected to. (e.g. the last Note File active by clicking in it)
* /Redirecting/ _only_ changes where the note is saved. The /Redirect/ method will not change how Highlighting adds notes (each note will have it's Note Indicator set to /None/, each note will have an empty /Content/ area). \\ _{{/ Hint}}_: But you will be able to change them once the note is added to your Note File.

* Some users may want to try and keep Highlighting notes restricted to specific Note Files:
