Logos 5: Bible Word Study

#. The Greek word in the center of the ring is the Bible Study Word i.e. the word upon which the BWS was run. Below the Greek is a gloss as seen in the an auto-complete list used when supplying the BWS parameters

#. Each segment of the ring shows a particular translation of ἄβυσσος in the NRSV - abyss, pit and bottomless. The segment size is proportional to the percentages that the Greek word is translated by a particular English word in the NRSV. Clicking on a ring segment (in this example, the green segment) will (1) slide the ring segment out of the ring as a visual cue and (2) populate the concordance data below the ring.

#. The concordance data begins with the English translation selected above. It also provides the actual count of times in the NRSV that this word translates the original Greek word. This distribution bar shows the occurrences of the Greek word by book of the Bible. The translation ring's concordance gives the distribution of the occurrences across the English words that translate it.
