#. Find the "PrintScreen" keyonyourkeyboard(thekeymay be labelled PrtSc/PrntScr). Press Alt + PrtSc to put a copy of the active window in the clipboard buffer.
#. Find the "PrintScreen" key (it may be labelled PrtSc/PrntScr). Press Alt + PrtSc to put a copy of the active window in the clipboard buffer.
  #. Then open Microsoft Paint, or some other graphics editor.
  #. In the menu click EDIT>PASTE to paste the contents of the clipboard to your new graphic.
  #. Remember where you save the file.

  #. Hold down the "Windows" key.
  #. Hold down the "Windows" key + the "Print Screen" key. On tablets use "Windows" + "Volume Down" \\ (your screen will darken for a split second, then...)
  #. Touch the "PrintScreen" key (your screen will darken for a split second, then...)
  #. You will discover a "Screenshot" file in the Screeshots folder of your Pictures Library.
  #. You will discover a "Screenshot" File under your Pictures where Windows has placed your screenshot

  Windows 7/8, Vista, and Experience Pack for Windows XP Tablet include a program called Snipping tool.  Loading it automatically gives you a "cross hairs" so you can select the area of your screen to grab along with basic editing ability.
