Different bibles use slightly different verse numbering. For example, the Greek (LXX) versions of the Psalms have the Psalm's title as verse 1, and the verse normally labelled verse 1 in English translations is called verse 2. If you are creating a Bible as a personal book, and your Bible uses verses that are not normally part of English translations, you may find the Bible references are not recognised. Afrikaans Bibles have 24 verses in Exodus 5, for example, whilst almost all other Bibles have 23 verses. This means that the milestone of ~[[@Bible:Exodus 5:24]] would not be recognised in a personal book. The table below shows that the milestone of ~[[@Bible+afr1933:Exodus 5:25]] /would/ be recognised, however. This page therefore shows which bible verses are supported by which bible datatypes, allowing Personal Book compilers to select the datatype that supports all the references they need. Each biblical book has a section of its own - please click its name in the list below to jump to that section. Chapters are listed in each row, and the verses known to be supported for each datatype are listed in each column. If a datatype appears to support a different range of verses from the standard bible datatype, it is noted in red. Please note that the table indicates which verses each datatype supports.
