!! Method 4 (Download Program and Resources one time for multiple users.)
With this Method, we can do the updates on one central computer, and copy them onto a USB key for distribution to other users.
!!! First Computer:
#. Install Logos.
#. Download .NET 4.5 from Microsoft (dotnetfx45_full_x86_x64.exe)
#. Download the Logos installer.
* It downloads a small installer, run this installer and it will download all of the resources you need. (Prerequisites, .NET 4.5, DX...)
#. Start Logos and login with your Customer ID and password.
#. Logos will download and install your resources.
* This will take a long time over a slow connection.
#. Logos' homepage will show, and will index your library to make it searchable.
#. When Logos has finished Indexing, quit Logos.
#. Copy the following files for the new computer:
* .NET 4.5 (dotnetfx45_full_x86_x64.exe)
* LogosSetup.exe
The Installation folder: C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\Logos5\Install\Installers
The resource folder: c:\users\xxx\Appdata\Local\Logos5\data\xxxxx\ResourceMangager\Resources
!!! Second and other Computers:
#. Install .NET 4.5 (dotnetfx45_full_x86_x64.exe)
#. Install DXSETUP.exe from the files you collected.
#. Install LogosPrerequisites.exe.
#. Run Logos.msi, choose Personalized Installation.
#. Un-check Automatic updates and complete the install.
#. Connect with this user's ID and password. (You must connect to the internet so that Logos know which resources are unlocked.)
#. Once Logos loads, type "scan d:\resources", making sure that the path points to the copy of the resources you brought.
#. Restart Logos.
* Logos will find and install the resources from your key.
!! Distributing "Offline" Updates:
You can download updates on a central computer and carry them to other computers on a USB drive.
!!! The First Computer:
#. This computer must be connected to the internet and download resource updates.
#. Find the Resource folder and copy all of the resources, or at least the new ones, to a USB Key.
!!! The Other Computer(s)
#. Start Logos
#. In the Command box, type "scan d:\resources" (replacing the path with the path to the resource folder on your USB key).
#. Restart Logos
* As Logos already knows which resources the user has purchased, it will only update the ones that they can access.
