!! Objective
* To build a _custom_ Highlighting Style which will allow you to pre-append a specific original language word to theEnglishwordin a /Reverse Interlinear/ bible. Or pre-append an alternativeEnglish word instead.
* To build a _custom_ Highlighting Style which will allow you to pre-append a specific original language word to text in a /Reverse Interlinear/ bible. \\Oryoucanpre-append an English word instead.
* Since this is for a specific word, it is only useful if you are *manually highlighting* or using a *Visual Filter*.
* An example from this exercise is shown below
 * How the text looked before using this filter: \\ \\ {{$ media:CustHL_OLVF1a.png?maxwidth=450 }} \\ \\
 * After applying the Custom Highlighting style that is built using this wiki: \\ \\ {{$ media:CustHL_OLVF1b.png?maxwidth=450 }} \\ \\
 * Or you could use an English word in your Custom Highlighting style instead of an original language word. \\ \\ {{$ media:CustHL_OLVF1c.png?maxwidth=450 }} \\ \\
 
* After running through this exercise, you can build other highlighting styles to make the original language pop out as you read e.g. in the NT, try this with Agape (love) or Phileo (anotherkindoflove).

 * Open the ESV Bible.
 * In the reference box, enter the passage *Psalms 23:1*
 * In the ESV's toolbar, click on the /Reverse Interlinear/ button.
#. Right click on the word *LORD*
#. Click on the word *LORD*
#. /N~/A/
#. Now in the /RI/, right click on the selected word (LORD).
#. A pop-up menu appears
* On theright side of the pop-up, click on *Lemma*
* On one side of the pop-up, click on *Lemma*(orthelemmasymbol)
* On the left side of the pop-up, click on *Copy*
* On the other side of the pop-up, click on *Copy*
 * Logos now places a copy of the Hebrew lemma into the clipboard for you.
#. Open the Highlighting tool
#. Open the Highlighting tool \\ \\ {{$ media:CustHL_OLVF2d.png }} \\ \\
 * In the top menu, click on *Tools*
 * In the drop down menu, click on *Highlighting* (found on the left side)
 * Now Logos opens the Highlighting window
 * Locate one of your /custom/ Palettes in the Highlighting window, then right click and select *Add a New Style*
* Click on *New Palette* if you do not have a custom Palette.\\\\{{$media:CustHL_OLVF2c2.png}}\\\\
* Click on *New Palette* if you do not have a custom Palette.
#. Now the Highlighting window shows you the highlighting editor.
 * Look down at the bottom and click on *Insert Text* (was *Label Text*)
#. Look in the top part of the window and click on *Font Styling*.
 * Click on the superscript button (*X{{^ 2}}*)
* Click on the scaling and in the drop down menu select *80%*
* Click on the scaling, and in the drop down menu select *80%*
#. Now click in the name box and give your highlighting style a name (e.g. YHWH)
#. Now click in the name box and give your highlighting style a name e.g. YHWH
#. Now click on the *OK* button to save your new highlighting style.

 * In the ESV, use your mouse to select the word LORD.
 * Click on your new highlighting style.
* Now the word LORD in the ESV that you highlight should look like this {{$ media:CustHL_OLVF2e.png }}
* Now the word LORD in the ESV that you highlight should look like this:\\\\ {{$ media:CustHL_OLVF1b.png?maxwidth=450 }}\\\\
 
*Youcould use an English word instead of the Hebrew word e.g. YahwehorYHWH.
Ifyouwantto use an English word instead of the Hebrew word e.g. Yahweh.
 * In step 6b, don't right click, but left click.
 * Skip steps 2 through 4.
* In step 6c, don'tpastejust type your English word.
* In step 6, just type your English word.
 * This would allow you to skip steps 1c through 4.
 * The word LORD should look like this after being highlighted: \\ \\ {{$ media:CustHL_OLVF1c.png?maxwidth=450 }} \\ \\
