!! Building a Visual Filter to use your Highlighting style
* This will guide you in building a Visual Filter to use the custom highlighting style that you have built.
#. In the top menu, click on *Documents* (or *Docs*)
#. Create a *[[Morphological Visual Filter >> Visual Filter # Morphology Visual Filter]]*
#. In the drop down menu click on *New*, then on *Visual Filter* \\ \\ {{$ media:CustHL_OLVF3b.png?maxwidth=550 }} \\ \\
#. Select *Logos Hebrew* morphology
#. Now Logos has opened a new Visual Filter editing window.
#. Open the ESV Bible
 * In the /Reference/ box, enter *Psalms 24:3*
#. Right click the word *LORD* in verse 3
 * In the pop-up menu, on the right side click on *Lemma*
 * In the pop-up menu, on the left side click on *Copy*
#. In the Visual Filter editor window,
 * Click in the name box
 * Name your Visual Filter e.g. LORD / YHWH
#. Select *Morph* in the filter type
#. Select *Logos Hebrew*
#. Select *ESV* for the resource
#. Select *Old Testament* for the range.
#. Now we will set the original language word that we want to be highlighted
#. Open the ESV Bible and right click the word *LORD* in Psalm 23:1
 * Click in the /Search/ box on the left
#. Copy the lemma (see step 4 above).
*Type the text *lemma:* (don'tforgetthe colon) then pastein the Hebrew word.
#.Inthe/Search/box,type the text *lemma:* (with the colon), then paste the Hebrew word
#. Click the /Formatting/ box to the right and select the highlighting style that you created previously.
 * it should look like *lemma:יהוה*
#. Click the /Formatting/ box on the right, and select the highlighting style that you created previously.
 * In the ESV, you should see the word LORD change to show the new highlighting.

* It is important to know that every occurrence of the lemma that you used *may not be translated as LORD*. So where some occurrences of the highlighting show where they should not, you will understand what is happening.
* If you really wanted to customize your filter for each true lemma that is LORD, you could build a Passage List (see [[Using Passage List to limit Visual Filters]]{{~ )}}
* Possibly do a Morph Search on *lemma:יהוה INTERSECTS LORD*, then create a Passage List.
* Then in your Visual Filter (step 10) change the _Old Testament_ to the Passage List.
* Then in your Visual Filter (step 7) change the _Old Testament_ to the Passage List.
* You can use the Locator bar in the ESV to move between different highlighted text (see [[Finding Highlighted Text]]{{~ )}}
