* A bold arrow with a number means that the English text corresponds to the Greek word with that number as a subscript: \\ \\ {{$ media:Interlinear5b.png?maxheight=320 }} \\ \\

  * (*a*) the bold arrow with a 5 next to it applies to the English word /shall/

  * (*b*) /shall/ is part of the translation of the Greek word *ἔσῃ* with a subscript of 5. \\ (it is the 5th word of the verse as found in the original Greek text).

 * The thin arrow pointing forward (or back) means that the surface word or phrase was translated from the target Greek word \\ \\ {{$ media:Interlinear5c.png?maxheight=300 }} \\ \\

  * The arrow pointing forward (or back) means that the entire phrase or group of words was translated from that one Greek word (mainly because Greek verbs include person, number, gender, mood, etc.) \\ \\ {{$ media:Interlinear5c.png }} \\ \\   a) The phrase _they may be seen_ is a translation from ... \\    b) the Greek word *φανῶσι*.

 * *(a)* The phrase "they may be" is part of the translation of ...

 * *(b)* the Greek word *φανῶσι*.

 * A bold dot in the surface text means that the associated Greek word was not translated. \\ \\ {{$ media:Interlinear5d.png?maxheight=300 }} \\ \\  

  * for the dot in the English text, it means that the Greek word wasn't directly translated into English \\ \\ {{$ media:Interlinear5d.png }} \\ \\  a) The Greek words *ἂν* and *ὅτι* required no direct translation into English.

 * *(a)* The Greek words *ἂν* and *ὅτι* were not translated.
