Parallel Resources

* When Parallel Resources are available for a resource you will notice the {{$ media:ParallelResourceicon.png }} icon in the resource's toolbar.
* Parallel Resources will always have the default column /All Parallel Resources/ but there can be additional columns for /Collections/ (see [[Collections & Parallel Resources >> # Collections & Parallel Resources]]{{~ )}}.

* Not all books will have Parallel Resources.
* Not all books will have Parallel Resources:
 * Books which don't have a /Reference box/
 * Books which have only _page numbers_ in the reference box.
#. Click on the Parallel Resource icon
#. Notice the drop down *All Parallel Resources* menu (there could be another column for a collection).

#. Click on one of the resources in the list. It will change to that resource in your tab.

 * don't use a collection if you are happy with /All Parallel Resources/
* use a collection that reflects your intended usage e.g. a collection of Greek lexicons (rather than Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic lexicons), a collection of Septuagint bibles.
* use a collection that reflects your intended usage e.g. a collection of Greek lexicons (rather than Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic lexicons), \\a collection of Septuagint bibles.
 * a collection of bible commentaries, study bibles and bible notes can be used with any open bible commentary.

!!! Why don't I see my Collection in Parallel Resources?
* Make sure that you have your /Collection/ tagged to be used with Parallel Resources
* Make sure that you have your collection tagged to be used with Parallel Resources

* The resource that you are using *is not* in that collection:
  * if possible, switch to a resource that is in that collection, and
  * check your collection /rule/ to see why that resource is not included.
* Your entry in the /Reference box/ (below) may not be found in any other resources for that /Collection/: \\ \\ {{$ media:ParallelResource-topic.png }} \\ \\
* Your entry in the /Reference box/ (below) may not be found in any other resources for that collection: \\ \\ {{$ media:ParallelResource-topic.png }} \\ \\
 * For some resource /types/ this isn't unusual i.e. bible dictionaries. \\ Check your collection /rule/ to see if any resources have been excluded.
 * If it is a Bible/Commentary:
* Use the *Left/Right* arrows on your keyboard to sequence through the books in your Parallel Resources. \\ [*Mac Users*: Cmd-Left and Cmd-Right]
 * Once that you have passed the last book, it will start at the beginning of the list. \\ \\
* If you have a /Collection/ taggedfor use with this resource, \\ you can select which Parallel Resource column to use with the keyboard sequence:
